Running software from network location
Volume license
Digiforms Designer can be run without setup from a shared network location. Your IT-department must provide a shared folder where the executables and default configurations may reside.
Once a folder it set up with the executables, any user within the company network that is granted access, can then browse the application folder and start the Designer.
Each copy of the Digiforms Designer needs a valid and activated license in order to run. Your IT-department must provide a volume license in the executables network folder.
Example:
Digiforms Designer installed in application folder G:\Applications\Digiforms
Open the network installation folder in windows explorer, find the "Digiforms Designer.exe" file and double-click to open. You can also add the location to a shortcut.
Application security warning
Windows will issue a security warning the first time application is launched from network location.
Digiforms Designer is a code signed application, and the warning dialog should state "Metafocus AS" as application vendor. Klick "Run" to start the software.

Default configuration
Loads from network folder on first run
The first time Digiforms Designer is launched, it will retrieve any default configuration from within the containing network. This allows your IT-department to add common connection configuration, helping users getting connected with Digiforms Servers the first time.
Modifications to Designer and plugin configuration will be stored in local user AppData. ( The actual folder depends on the Microsoft Windows version installed on computer running the Designer)
