Working with Digiforms Server
Create, modify, maintain and test your documents and applications
With the Digiforms Designer PROFESSIONAL version, you can access and manage multiple Digiforms Servers using the Digiforms Server plugin. It allows you to create, modify, publish, copy, backup and test documents and process flows.
With the Digiforms Server plugin, you can organize documents into folders, and insert access policy documents to control access to restricted documents or pages in your web-applications.

Open the server plugin
The plugin is available from the main program menu. Click View ( alt + V ) -> Plugins ( P )

Connecting to a server
  • If you are connecting to a server for the first time
Choose the New (+) button to open empty connection dialog.
  • If you want to use a recent connection
Choose ( Recent... ) button to bring up a list of recent connections.

You can have several Digiforms Server connections open at any time. Every new connection adds a tab in the connection navigation bar
Mount directory
Local repository
The MOUNT directory is the path to where Digiforms Designer will mirror documents, images and any other content while editing. When you edit a document revision, the document will be retrieved from server and stored in a corresponding folder under the specified MOUNT directory.
If you have opened a document for editing, and you save the changes, the Folder structure in Digiforms Server Plugin will highlight the document as modified by underlining it.

A modified document revision can be "committed", or updated at the server. The COMMIT pop-up menu option will only be enabled if file modified locally, and you have LOCKED the document. This prevents multiple users from modifying documents concurrently.
When multiple users are working with a Digiforms Project, it is wise to agree upon a common MOUNT folder. This is not mandatory, but it will ensure that image and component library references will be resolved properly while editing the documents.
